WSVG
I'm sure many people have been
wondering what exactly is going on with the WSVG (World Series of Video Games).
Unfortunately, they have been cancelled. Due to financial issues, the World Series of Video Games or WSVG will no longer be running.
This has been the source of much concern, with many people wondering where World of Warcraft will stand as an e-sport without it. Thankfully,
the good folks at GameRiot are working on sponsoring online tournaments, hoping to catch Blizzard's eye enough to entice them to officialize and incentivize
said tournaments. Voting for the format tends to be leaning towards a 3v3, best of 7 challenge, with a maximum of 4 characters per team roster, though due to
the premature nature of this information it is entirely likely to change.
Currently being organized by Ming, the infamous rogue formerly of Lightning's Blade US,
now on Black Dragonflight US, these tournaments are bound to be a hit. Ming's name tends to draw the best of the best of both PVP players and drama hounds, so stay tuned to
our site for news on the new direction of WoW as an e-sport.
